In this week's Going Solo, we talk a lot about slowing down and prioritizing yourself. And well, on that note, let's quickly go through what's brewing hot in the creator economy this week. 💯

In today's Going Solo 👇

Lemony Snicket on the Importance of Slowing Down

Lemony Snicket (which is Daniel Handler’s pen name) is a brilliant writer, and generations of writers look up to him. Netflix's TV series A Series of Unfortunate Events was based on his books. His analogy on tea and slowing down is quite refreshing. 👇

Follow Michelle Hsu for Holiday Season Decor

When you open Michelle Hsu's Instagram page, you get a rich whiff of festivities! If there's one creator you should follow this holiday season, it's got to be her. 🎉

Michelle has started posting holiday season content, helping and inspiring all of her 598K followers. Looking for ideas to do up your Christmas tree? Michelle has an idea or two up her sleeve. We're already eyeing this DIY ginger bread decor she dropped earlier this month!

Here's a glimpse of her content. 👇

YouTube to Improve Copyright Claims to Help Creators

On a scale of 1-10, how often do you run into copyright claims? 🙈

From music to content pieces, creators often run into content violations because laws and guidelines change too often. Sometimes, every week. It's tough to keep track of them, but YouTube has a solution.

What does this mean?

When you upload content, YouTube will alert you if there are concerns. The alerts will include copyright claims, and how to fix those issues. For instance, if you were using copyrighted music, YouTube will also suggest links to Creator Music that are fully free to use.
